Hospice Society benefits as Harleys handed out

By Stan Saliken

This year the Cranbrook / Kimberley Hospice Society, Harley Davidson of the Kootenays and the local members of the Harley Owners’ group teamed up to raise funds for the Hospice Society. The result was a very successful fundraiser. They managed to give away two brand new Harley Davidson motorcycles and a Harley Davidson barbecue.

Local dignitaries were on hand at high noon on December 26 to draw some names from the draw barrel. All 3,000 tickets were sold out well before the draw.

The lucky winners are: Dave Roller – barbecue; Jon Blackmore – Harley Davidson Sportster; and Judy Gall wins the Harley Davidson Heritage Motorcycle. A big thank you to all those who purchased tickets.
