A couple from Fort Macleod, Alta., on their way to Fernie last weekend and declared missing yesterday, have been found, report the RCMP.

Jacob and Anja Oosterwyjk (pictured above) were found by Elk Valley RCMP earlier this afternoon (April 17), after they received a radio call from Anja Oosterwyjk and were later found by a helicopter search crew. It was determined the couple were in a remote area between Fernie and Cranbrook and had become stuck in their SUV.

Police report that Jacob has an injured knee and the couple have been transported to hospital for treatment.
