One hurt as truck goes down embankment
Last night (Jan. 6) around 8:30 p.m. Cranbrook Highway Rescue was paged for a single vehicle accident, located just before the Fort Steele turn off (at Eager Hill).
A vehicle was approximately 60 feet down a steep slope. The crew used ropes to rescue five people; once up the slope they were assessed by BC Ambulance, reported Cranbrook Search and Rescue on their Facebook page.
One person from the truck was transported to East Kootenay Regional Hospital for further examination of minor injuries.
