Please notify the District of Sparwood Municipal Office by June 7, if you, or someone you know, has turned 75 years of age or will be turning 75 this year. We will then send an invitation to the recipient to attend the June 17, regular meeting of council. Family and friends are also encouraged to attend.

Sprinkling regulations

To promote water conservation in Sparwood, the district has implemented sprinkling regulations that shall be in effect from June 1 through September 30 each year.

Even numbered addresses are allowed to water on even calendar days and odd numbered addresses are allowed to water on odd calendar days.

Exceptions to the water sprinkling restrictions include nurseries, golf courses; farms, turf and tree farms, and municipal parks, playing fields, and other municipal properties.

There will be special permission for those residents who have installed a new lawn (either seed or sod) for a period of 21 days after installation of the lawn.
