The Regional District of East Kootenay board of directors today named a successor to the position of chief administrative officer (CAO).

Current CAO Lee-Ann Crane is retiring in May and she will be replaced by current RDEK director of finances Shawn Tomlin, a 12-year member of the regional government senior management team.

Crane has been CAO of the RDEK for 20 years.
