Towed vehicles and winter parking in effect
Winter parking regulations are now in effect in the City of Fernie and towing will be enforced.
Winter Parking Schedule
The following alternate parking schedule will be enforced through to April 15 and vehicles are subject to towing:
No parking permitted on the south or east side of the roadways on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
No parking permitted on the north or west side of the roadways on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturdays
Snow/ice covered walkways and driveways make it difficult for people to get around, so we ask business owners to please ensure that your sidewalks are cleared and safe for pedestrians.
We would like to remind you that every business located adjacent to a sidewalk is responsible for the removal of ice and snow from that portion of the sidewalk before 9 a.m. each day. Failure to do so could result in a fine.

If your vehicle has been towed and you are looking to retrieve it please contact City Hall or the following:
If City Hall is Closed please contact the Fernie Aquatic Centre (250 Pine Avenue) at 250 423.4466 (City Hall will be closed Jan 1). If the Aquatic Centre is Closed please contact the non-emergency number at the Fernie Fire Hall (692-3rd Avenue) 250-423-4226.
A $200 dollar cash deposit will be required prior to the release of the vehicle. If you are the owner of the vehicle you will have to come to City Hall (when we are open) and the normal paperwork will be processed and you will be refunded any over payment.
