Volunteers needed for CDART

The Canadian Disaster Animal Response Team (CDART) is starting a new chapter in the East Kootenay.

With the support of Regional District of East Kootenay Emergency Social Services and a number of other local groups, the team will respond during emergencies such as wildfires or floods to help rescue domestic animals and move them to temporary safe locations and shelters.

Volunteers are needed in all aspects of the operation, from administrators to rescue helpers and transporters.

Training is available and required for all front-line workers. Please contact [email protected] or call 250-420-7221 or 250-421-7200 for more details.
