Boil water notice for Holland Creek system
The Regional District of East Kootenay (RDEK) is reporting a Boil Water Notice is in effect for users of the Holland Creek Water System.
“A water service outage is currently taking place and is expected to last until this evening, the RDEK stated on social media this morning (Jan. 4).
Residents within Lakeview Meadows / Holland Creek, as well as the Cottages at Copper Point are asked to not use their water until service is restored.
The Boil Water Notice will be in effect until lab results are confirmed. Water intended for drinking, washing fruits or vegetables, making juice or ice, or brushing teeth should be boiled at a rolling boil for at least one minute.
Updates will be posted on www.rdek.bc.ca when service is restored as well as when the Boil Water Notice is lifted.
