Boil Water Notice for Spur Valley rescinded
UPDATE: The Regional District of East Kootenay reports (May 22) that this boil water notice has been rescinded.
Effective immediately, a BOIL WATER NOTICE is in effect for ALL users on the Spur Valley Water System.
Water intended for drinking, washing fruits or vegetables, making juice or ice, or brushing teeth should be boiled at a rolling boil for at least one minute.
The Boil Water Notice will remain in effect until the required lab results are confirmed, which is expected to take several days.
The Boil Water Notice is required following an emergency repair on a broken line.
The Regional District of East Kootenay (RDEK) will notify the community via its Spur Valley email group and on social media once the Boil Water Notice has been lifted.
