The Village of Canal Flats will have its fourth mayor in the history of incorporation following the Oct. 20 municipal election.

With Mayor Ute Juras moving on, village votes have three candidates from which to select her replacement: Gord Donaldson, current Councillor Karl Sterzer and Brian Woodward.

Two incumbent councillors are vying for re-election: Marie Delorme and Paul Marcil.

And six candidates are vying for first-time seats at the council table: Benoit Charbonneau, Bill Lake, Douglas McCutcheon, Todd Rotvold, Kimberley Swerdferger and Roy Webb.

Coun. Erin Gornik has opted not to run again.
