We’re pleased to share that proceeds from the 36th annual Columbia Valley Classics Show & Shine, held September 18 and 19, have supported a $20,000 donation to Angel Flight East Kootenay and a $5,000 donation to the David Thompson Ski & Snowboard Club.

In the Angel Flight photo, Columbia Valley Classics Club President Arnold Scheffer and Club Treasurer Don Parkin present the cheque to Angel Flight representative Scott Wallace.

Angel Flight shared that it plans to replace its dependable workhorse aircraft with a more efficient plane with lower operating costs. Donations are especially valuable as the organization works toward this goal, and its representatives expressed their gratitude for the club’s support.

Our club will also be making several more donations from the proceeds to community organizations, including ICAN, Columbia Valley Search and Rescue, Little Mittens, Columbia Valley Hospice Society and Columbia Valley Christmas Bureau.
