Edgewater man arrested after road rage incident
On the afternoon of Saturday, May 13, Banff RCMP responded to a road rage incident on Highway 1 in Banff National Park.
The complaint alleged that a man was driving recklessly and had pointed a handgun at another driver.
Westbound Highway 1 traffic was disrupted temporarily at the Sunshine Road overpass while the RCMP apprehended the suspect.
Investigators searched the suspect’s vehicle and seized a .177 caliber pellet pistol.
A 59-year-old man from Edgewater, B.C. will appear at the Alberta Court of Justice in Canmore, Alberta on June 28, to answer to charges including Pointing a Firearm and Using a Firearm in the Commission of an Offence.
