Fairmont Utilities boil water advisory rescinded

Fairmont Hot Springs Utility Ltd. this morning announced that the Boil Water Advisory issued following the recent temporary shutdown and repairs of the community water utility system has been officially rescinded.

Following the completion of repairs, the water lines were thoroughly flushed, and daily water samples were collected and analyzed over the past week in strict accordance with Interior Health Authority standards.

We have now received official clearance from Interior Health confirming that the water quality is safe, potable, and fully meets all drinking water regulations.

As a result:

The Boil Water Advisory is lifted effective immediately.

All community boil water signs are being removed.

Residents may resume normal water use without the need to boil water for drinking or cooking.

We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to everyone for your patience, cooperation, and support throughout the recent service interruption and subsequent testing period. We also thank our operations crews and the Interior Health Authority for their diligent work in ensuring the safety of our community water supply.
