Main Street Boost meeting Thursday
The District of Invermere, Columbia Basin Trust and National Trust for Canada are conducting the Main Street Boost project June 1 to 3.
The purpose of Main Street Boost is to identify ideas and opportunities to achieve affordable and immediate priority projects that benefit the community as a whole.
There is a public brainstorming session (community ideas and action) on Thursday night, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Invermere Community Hall.
“Main Street Boost is a program to initiate affordable and immediate ways to enhance and boost our downtown streetscapes, buildings, natural/cultural heritage, and accessibility,” said Mayor Gerry Taft, urging residents to attend the June 2 meeting and bring ideas.
