Columbia Valley Rural Fire & Rescue Chief Jim Miller was honoured Monday during a farewell luncheon to celebrate his retirement after nearly 30 years with the Regional District of East Kootenay’s (RDEK) Fire Service.

In addition to colleagues, local elected officials and fellow firefighters, Fire Chiefs from Elk Valley & South Country Rural Fire & Rescue, Fernie and Invermere attended to wish him well on his last day.
