On Thursday, Oct. 12, some of the Fairmont Bluebird team joined the Nature Trust of BC for the installation of the new Bluebird nestbox trail along the Columbia Wetlands Viewpoint Trail.

There are now 11 new nestboxes in the Fairmont area adding to the two other Nestbox Trails started last year.

These nestboxes will welcome cavity nesting birds when they return in the spring to our area from their wintering grounds. We look forward to seeing which species will inhabit the nestboxes next spring and follow the families throughout the nesting season.
