Student award keeps growing at Copper Point

Copper Point Golf Club (The Point Course and Ridge Course) continues to raise funds for local students with its Friday evening closest to the pin contests.

For $5 players get two attempts to get closest to the pin in Men’s, Women’s or Junior division, and half the money collected goes to a local giving back initiative.

This happens every Friday evening at Copper Point’s Par 1 from 7-9 p.m. beside The View Restaurant deck at Copper Point Golf Club.

“Last year, we raised $1,500 for our community in the form of an award for a 2019 graduating student from David Thompson Secondary School (DTSS).  Congratulations Tyler Powell who received the award at his 2019 graduation ceremony! Thank you to all who have supported this initiative and we look forward to growing this program for many years to come,” said Scott McClain, Copper Point’s PGA of Canada Head Golf Professional.

Congratulations to last week’s closest to the pin winners!
