Susan Clovechok eyes Area F director’s seat
Fairmont Hot Springs resident and current Columbia Valley Chamber of Commerce executive director Susan Clovechok has announced she intends to run for the Regional District of East Kootenay Electoral Area F director seat in the October 20 municipal election.
“I’ve made the leap… and the commitment! Wendy Booth has done such a good job and since she has decided to venture into the federal realm I decided that we needed someone who would make Area F a priority like she did. So if I’m successful in October I’ll be leaving the Columbia Valley Chamber of Commerce to make sure that I have the flexibility required to serve the constituents of Area F,” Clovechok stated last week on Facebook.
“This summer I will spend my spare time learning by attending meetings, reading reports and meeting constituents so that should I be successful on October 20 – you will be confident that I’ll be ready to serve and we won’t miss a beat,” she added.
Clovechok is married to current Columbia River-Revelstoke MLA Doug Clovechok.
