Wings Over the Rockies’ theme and keynote speaker revealed
Wings Over the Rockies Nature Festival Society is happy to announce the theme and keynote speaker for the 2023 festival.
Our theme is “Wildlife & Landscapes – Exploring Connections” and our keynote speaker is Dr. Dale Leckie.
During the over 100 events of the seven day festival, attendees will be engaged with the wonder of how landscapes, wildlife and yes, people, are connected. Being a geologist, scientist, speaker, and best-selling author of tour books for the public, Dr. Dale Leckie’s keynote presentation will highlight the festival theme by exploring landscape and wildlife connections and their importance for all of us.
Wings Over the Rockies Nature Festival is based out of Invermere, with the events stretching from Golden to the north, down to Wasa in the south.
One of the premier nature festivals in Western Canada, participant events include in-the-field excursions, bird watching, luncheons and evening presentations.
There is also a Saturday evening soiree with keynote address, and large music concert on the last evening of the festival.
Festival dates for 2023: Monday, May 8 to Sunday, May 14.
The festival schedule will be available for viewing on March 30 and event tickets for sale April 11, 10 a.m. MDT, on our website.
