Wood Lane boil water notice expanded

During construction yesterday afternoon (May 26), a curbstop was damaged and as a result, the Boil Water Notice on Wood Lane in Windermere has been expanded.

There is a water service interruption currently for the newly affected properties. Operators are now in the process of trying to connect temporary water to those affected homes.

In addition to the homes already on a BOIL WATER NOTICE, the BOIL WATER NOTICE has been expanded to include all addresses on Wood Lane located within the green line on the image above.

Water intended for drinking, washing fruits or vegetables, making juice or ice, or brushing teeth should be boiled at a rolling boil for at least ONE MINUTE.

The Boil Water Notice will remain in effect until lab results return clear, which is expected to take several days. Our Operators will be going door to door to notify affected residents within the expanded Boil Water Notice area.

Any homes that are occupied and receive temporary water are asked to turn OFF the main valve inside their homes. For anyone who has a property in the affected area, but not at home, they will not need to turn off the main valve unless they plan to return to their property in the next few days.

Anyone returning to their property on Wood Lane to find they have no water service should contact 250-342-5712.
