134 home project Legacy Lookout launched

Development to include 72 condos and 62 single-family detached homes

New Dawn Developments, an award-winning East Kootenay land developer and home builder, has announced the launch of Legacy Lookout at Wildstone Golf Course in Cranbrook.

Situated on 15 acres, this new community is in the heart of Canada’s first Gary Player Black Knight designed golf course. Three greens and a signature water feature at Hole number 12 surround the development, which slopes gently toward the Rocky Mountains to offer stunning views of Fisher Peak, Lakit Mountain and The Steeples.

Plans for Legacy Lookout include three condominium complexes with 24 condos each and 62 single-family detached homes. Strata management at Legacy Lookout will be well-suited for both full-time and seasonal residents wanting to spend as much time as possible enjoying the area’s plethora of recreational activities.

The single-family detached homes will include bare land strata management, making these 1,000- to 1,400-square-foot homes ideal for those desiring the luxury of owning their own home with the freedom of being able to take extended vacations.

“Legacy Lookout is a unique community in many ways,” said Chad Jensen, President and CEO of New Dawn. “The views are incredible and it’s in a quiet, rural-like setting yet the development is only five minutes to grocery stores and shopping. We also worked with a land planner out of the States to make Legacy Lookout a prefurbia neighbourhood.”

Prefurbia is a land design that minimizes road density to provide more desirable lot locations. There is more emphasis on green spaces. Meandering pavement and homes that are set further back from the street replace the traditional grid design. Prefurbia design aims to reduce economic and environmental impact.

New Dawn will be offering a variety of customizable home packages. Phase one has begun with site preparation and installation of deep services. Home construction will commence in October.
