On distracted driving penalties

1. The Motor Vehicle Act is currently being reviewed by government.
2. A new penalty for distracted driving has been introduced.
3. The penalty is three points on your license and a $167 fine for doing anything like using your cell phone, programming a GPS or watching a DVD while driving.
