About B.C.’s technology sector

1. Last week was B.C.’s first ever Technology Skills Appreciation Week, recognizing the valuable contribution of people working in technological skilled trades to the province’s economy and labour force.

2. The technology sector is a key driver of B.C.’s economy, with more than 86,000 jobs that pay wages 60% higher than the provincial average.

3. Last year, the government established the $100-million BC Tech Fund, a venture capital fund that will assist promising companies in B.C.’s Tech Sector.
