41st Cranbrook Firefighter’s Fishing Clinic June 17

The Cranbrook Firefighter’s Fishing Clinic is returning on Sunday, June 17, for the 41st time.

Put on pause due to the dam and lake restoration project, the clinic will run from 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Father’s Day at Cranbrook’s beautiful Idlewild Park.

The event is for children 15-years-old and under. Families are encouraged to come along.

There is no cost or pre-registration required.

Hot dogs and refreshments will be served, all free!

There is a chartered fishing trip prize for the angler catching the biggest fish!

A tagged fish can win a lucky angler a new bicycle! (Tagged fish must be caught by March 31 of the following year in order to claim prize.)

There will also be many more prizes to be won!

The lake will be stocked with fish by the Kootenay Trout Hatchery.

Provincial fishing regulations apply. All fish must be caught in the lake.
