90 take part in composting workshop
Earth Day weekend saw 90 people taking part in Wildsight’s ‘How to Compost’ workshops in Cranbrook and Kimberley.
Workshop instructor and local composting expert Sonja Seher presented a four season composting plan and gave information on ways to minimize the risk of compost becoming a wildlife attractant.
In other Earth Day events, approximately 2,500 people in Cranbrook and Kimberley watched the climate change film ‘Chasing Ice’ during two public and six school presentations. Wildsight also ran two home energy efficiency open houses. May 5-11- is International Compost Awareness Week.
