Application deadline looms for recruitment of committees for 2013
A number of opportunities remain available for public participation and involvement in a number of various advisory committees for the City of Cranbrook.
The deadline to apply is looming – Monday November 26 and membership is open to residents of the City of Cranbrook.
“I encourage anyone with an interest in knowing more about Cranbrook to apply,” says Mayor Wayne Stetski. “These committees provide council with advice that it important to making good decisions about the future of our community.”
Committees accepting applications include: Advisory Planning Commission, Athletic Commission, Board of Variance, Cranbrook Public Library Board, Economic Development, Environment and Utilities, Family and Community Services, Key City Theatre Society, Wellness and Heritage and the Urban Deer Management Advisory Committee.
“If you always had a particular interest in our city and want to ensure that your voice is heard, I encourage you to apply,” says Stetski.
Terms of Reference for all the committees and the volunteer application form on the city website at www.cranbrook.ca or by visiting City Hall. Applications will be accepted at City Hall (attention Maryse Leroux) or by email [email protected] , no later than Monday, November 26, at 4 p.m. local time.
