Baker Badminton finishes third in zone
Mount Baker Secondary School’s Badminton Team has had a busy two weeks in finishing off its season.
They started with their annual home and away challenge with Fernie Secondary School and secured the trophy with a 42-32 match record.
This past weekend, they travelled to Invermere for the year-ending zone play downs. With over 70 competitors they finished third overall with some notable results.
Paul Freitag was runner up in Boy’s Singles. Ashkan Zahedanaraki and Paula Sanchez won the Mixed Doubles consolation. Paula Sanchez and Lea Brehme won the Girls’ Doubles consolation. Dhruz Jethwa and Lochlann Freitag won the Boys’ Doubles Consolation.
