BCBHA storytelling fundraiser upcoming in Cranbrook
All those interested in hunting, fishing, and any outdoor activity involving the public, Crown lands of British Columbia, please come and join us January 19 at 6:30 p.m. at Cranbrook’s Heritage Inn Ballroom.
The evening will be a storytelling fundraiser for your provincial public lands advocate – BC Backcountry Hunters and Anglers (BCBHA).
Enjoy a social evening involving storytelling presentations by:
– Bill Hanlon – A Kootenay local well-known for the discovery of an ancient ‘Iceman’, the spearheading of BC’s BHA, and now being our Provincial Co-Chair and BHA North American board member. He will be speaking on his local Kootenay adventures, the history of his involvement in conservation and the resulting impacts he has seen, as well as how anyone can also get passionate and involved in conservation.
– Dan Mills – A locally born writer, photographer, and outdoors enthusiast will be reading a known, personally written piece, “Death by Displacement,” in which he opens a conversation and exposes some of the truths regarding the displacement of wildlife in our current environment.
– Nikita Dalke – A Kootenay local, Extreme Huntress finalist, and outdoors advocate. She will be speaking on her experiences hunting overseas in Spain for Red Stag and Ibex.
– Ty Stubblefield – Our BHA Chapter Coordinator from Missoula, Montana North American BHA Headquarters. He is well known for his videoed backcountry archery hunting adventures with the Born and Raised Outdoors crew from Oregon, USA and his involvement with BHA. Ty will be humouring us with some personal hunting stories and also sharing some background on the North American Backcountry Hunters and Anglers and its impact on North America.

Members and non-members are welcome to attend the event with admission by donation.
Raffle draws will be available for a Mystery Ranch Backpack and Yeti Cooler.
