CCT issues casting call for three upcoming shows

Cranbrook Community Theatre (CCT) is holding auditions for its first play of its 2023/2024 season on Saturday, June 3, at The Stage Door from 1 – 4 p.m.

Call backs will be held on Tuesday, June 6, at The Stage Door from 6:30- 9 p.m.

The show running in October is Don’t Dress for Dinner by Marc Camoletti adapted by Robin Hawdon and directed by Patrick Baranowski.

Roles:

  •  Robert – Bernard’s best friend age range 25-40;
  •  Bernard – Husband of Jackie age range 25-40;
  •  Jacqueline – Wife of Bernard age range 25-40;
  •  Suzanne – Mistress of Bernard age range 20-40;
  •  George – Suzette’s Boyfriend age range 20-40;
  •  Suzette – The Caterer age range 20-40.

February 2024: Here on the Flight Path by Norm Foster. Director: Peter Schalk.

Roles:

  •  John – older 45-50+;
  •  Faye/Angel/Gwen – young, 20-30 needs to be able to transform into three separate characters including altering voice, mannerisms and hair.

April/May 2024: Clue by Jonathan Lynn, Hunter Foster, Sandy Rustin, and Eric Price. Director: Bob McCue.
Roles:

  •  Wadsworth – the traditional British butler age range 30+;
  •  Yvette – the sexy French maid age range 20-35 ish;
  •  Miss Scarlet – A very self-confident madam age range 25-40 ish;
  •  Mrs. Peacock Neurotic, church going senator’s wife age range 30-60;
  •  Mrs. White A tragic character age range 40+;
  •  Professor Plum A brilliant Casanova type age range 40+;
  •  Colonel Mustard Pompous, blowhard, barmy age range 50+;
  •  Mr. Green Klutzy and straight laced age range 20+;
  •  Ensemble woman Tap dancing is an asset but not essential age range 20+;
  •  Ensemble man #1 age range 30+;
  •  Ensemble man #2 age range 20+.

We will have monologues at the audition for you to read or you can come with an audition piece memorized.
