Cranbrook Men’s Shed information meeting April 20
Members of the Canal Flats Men’s Shed will be coming to share their experience and enthusiasm with the those interested in a Cranbrook Men’s Shed on April 20.
Men’s Sheds are all about healthy men, their families and their community.
The first Men’s Shed was started by a woman 30 years ago.
There are about 50 Men’s Sheds in B.C., 100 in Canada and 3,000 worldwide. Started by people like you.
Women are welcome to attend. If you have a husband under your feet, a grandfather, farther, brother, son, uncle or friend who might like to work shoulder to shoulder, doing stuff (for themselves and the community) when they are not snowmobiling, rock climbing or watching tv, bring them along.
Oh! Men, you are welcome as well and importantly, anyone who has an interest in men’s health in any capacity, your support and encouragement will be very important to the new Men’s Shed.
At this meeting you will learn what happens in a Men’s Shed, how the Canal Flats Men’s Sheds got established and how some of the 50 other British Columbia Men’s Sheds got off the ground.
It’s not that hard and there is great support available.
Men’s Sheds are a fun place to hang out, a place where it is easy to make friends. It just takes a few good men to get it started (with a little help from their friends).
Everyone is welcome at 10:30 a.m. on April 20 in the Cranbrook Public Library, 1212-2 St N #101, Cranbrook.
