The 33rd annual Cranbrook Pro Rodeo is this weekend (August 16-18).

The event continues to be a popular stop on the Canadian Professional Rodeo Association roster and this year promises to be as exciting as ever with three action-packed performances featuring top cowboys and cowgirls from all over North America.

Events include: saddle bronc riding, bareback riding, steer wrestling, tie-down roping, team roping, ladies barrel racing and bull riding. Each day will feature a performance by trick rider Shelby Cummings (pictured above).

A portion of the Saturday event proceeds will be donated to STARS Air Ambulance. Saturday will also feature a dance following the rodeo.

The rodeo is held at Wycliffe Exhibition Grounds (5325 Wycliffe Park Road).

Advance tickets can be purchased at Top Crop and Hillbilly Hardware. It is cash only at the gate.
