Cranbrook Public Library needs magazine sponsors

It is the kickoff of the Friends of the Cranbrook Public Library ‘Adopt A Magazine Campaign.’

Magazines are one of the most popular items at the library. Your support helps keep favorites like People, Runner’s World, Macleans, Time, and Readers Digest on our shelves for all members of the community to enjoy.

What happens when you adopt a magazine?

The magazine becomes part of our library. Readers of all types borrow the magazines to take home or sit and enjoy while hanging out in the atrium or Fireside Lounge while flipping pages.

Sponsorships range from $25 to $200 for a one-year adoption. Your gift covers the subscription cost completely. We invite local businesses, book clubs, non-profits, families, and community members to adopt a magazine and support the library.

As a thank you, sponsors receive:

  • A charitable tax receipt.
  • Year-long recognition with a personalized bookplate in the library.
  • Mentions on the library’s website and social media.

Chief Librarian Ursula Brigl said, “Our magazine section is a vital link to the outside world. This campaign makes sure that the most current information is here, free for everyone. We rely heavily on the generosity of our Cranbrook community to make this happen.”
