Cranbrook RCMP Report
The following is a synopsis of calls received by Cranbrook RCMP for the week (from 6 a.m.) Oct. 31 to 6 a.m., Nov. 7.
Police handled 150 calls for service throughout this week.
Among the calls police handled…
One impaired driver – alcohol.
Seven collisions – Five in town that resulted in no injuries and minor damage; two outside of town with deer.
Nine Mental Health Act calls – one apprehended. Four of the calls involved the same individual.
Seven assault complaints: four domestic related incidents.
Five thefts reported: one shoplifting; one theft of a vehicle – still under investigation; one theft from vehicle – jerry cans stolen from pick up truck; two other thefts, including theft of a cell phone where the suspect was arrested and phone recovered and a theft of firearms (matter still under investigation).
One break and enter to business in industrial area: tools and cash taken form the Northwest Grill on Industrial Rd #1.
Three break and enter to residences: Complainant reported theft of their drugs (yes theft of drugs) and cash from their unlocked hotel room; a seasonal residence broken into at Rosen Lake; and another complainant reported an XBox taken from insecure apartment (ie door not locked).
One report of property damage to a vehicle.
Two drug seizures – marijuana.
Nine false alarms/ false 911 complaints.
One person arrested for intoxication in public place.
