The City of Cranbrook recently received an application from Red Brick Enterprise requesting a variance to the city’s Sign Bylaw for new proposed signage for Encore Brewing located at 1400 4th Street North (the former Juniper Lanes property).

The variance allows two signs to be placed on two new architectural/entry features, which project above the flat roofline and permit a lettering sign on the roofline of the west elevation of the building.

Council also approved a request by Encore Brewing to utilize a city right-of-way for an outdoor seasonal patio adjacent to the proposed development, along with providing approval of a referral from the Liquor and Cannabis Regulation Branch (LCRB) regarding a manufacturer licence with a lounge area endorsement application for Encore Brewing Company.

Red Brick Enterprise is owned by Jesse Roberts and Fred Williams, who renovated the former downtown fire hall into the Fire Hall Kitchen and Tap.
