Federal NDP leader in Cranbrook today

Federal NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh will spend a weekend meeting residents in the Kootenays and attending the NDP nomination meeting for Kootenay—Columbia Nov. 16 and 17.

Singh is in Cranbrook today, Friday, Nov. 16 for a ‘JagMeet and Greet’ from 5 – 6 p.m. at 111B – 7th Ave. S, along with Kootenay-Columbia MP Wayne Stetski.

On a tight schedule, the leader in search of a riding is off to Creston for another meet and greet from 7- 8:30 p.m. at the Downtowner Motor Inn.

From Brampton, Ontario, Singh will be running in a by-election for Member of Parliament for Burnaby South. He intends to move to B.C. if successful.

On Saturday, Nov. 17, Singh and Stetski are off to events in Salmo and Nelson, including Stetski’s Nomination Meeting, taking place 2:30-3:30 p.m. at the Nelson Curling Centre Lounge.
