FedEx broken into; truck stolen

During the early morning of November 12, Cranbrook RCMP received a call from someone who had located an abandoned FedEx truck up the Peavine Forest Service Road.

rcmplogoThe caller advised that several parcels were discarded on the roadway. Cranbrook members, along with the Forensic Identification Section (FIS) attended and conducted an investigation of the scene.

Cranbrook members then attended the FedEx building in town and were advised that the building had been broken into and that numerous parcels had been gone through or were missing. The Cranbrook FIS Section again attended this scene to gather evidence.

GPS from the truck indicates it was stolen sometime around 1 a.m. and was eventually dumped up the Peavine Road around 2 a.m.

Cranbrook RCMP is asking anyone who may have been in the area of the Fed Ex Building on Industrial Rd #2 or on the Peavine Forest Service Road, and who may have seen something, to please contact the Cranbrook RCMP or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
