Fire fighters and city remind today is #JerseyDay

Members of the Cranbrook Fire Department, representing Local 1253 firefighters and the entire City of Cranbrook on #JerseyDay, honouring the memory of those lost in the tragedy April 6 near Tisdale, Saskatchewan involving the Humboldt Broncos junior hockey team and to stand strong together with their teammates, families and friends.

A quick look at your social media feed(s) will showcase how seriously people are taking this day across the nation, posting photos of themselves, or groups of co-workers (team mates) in sports jerseys.

Cranbrook RCMP tweeted this image this morning (April 12) – joining the national movement where people leave sticks at the back or front door, ready to be used for a game in honour of the Broncos. Cranbrook RCMP photo
