Friendship Festival rolling on Sept. 22
The inaugural Kimberley and Cranbrook United Way Friendship Festival is taking place on September 22. The day will be an opportunity for the communities, citizens, and organizations of Cranbrook and Kimberley to get together and share what connects them.
A Friendship Flag Relay will take place from 10 a.m. to 12 the day of the Festival. A flag will be carried from Kimberley to Cranbrook on the NorthStar Rails-to-Trails by relay team made up of Kimberley’s diverse group of trail users. The flag is scheduled to arrive at Rotary Park in Cranbrook at noon to kick-off the day’s events. So for all those early birds who want to take in the first day of fall enjoying the beautiful scenery that connects Cranbrook and Kimberley get involved in the day’s activities on the North Star Trail!
