The City of Cranbrook will be cleaning the outside lanes of Highway 3 starting Monday, March 18, resulting in periodic lane closures throughout the week.

Commencing work on Monday, the boulevards will be cleaned each morning through to Friday, March 22. The daily cleaning will be completed by 12 p.m. each day to limit the disruption to local traffic as much as possible.

The work will be along Highway 3 from the Victoria Avenue and Theater Road intersection to 30th Avenue N.

Public Works crews will start work on the northbound outside lanes on Monday before working on the southbound outside lanes of Highway 3 on Wednesday. Weather dependent, the work should be completed by the end of the week.

The city is asking for motorists to please be mindful of the cleaning crews and to obey any signage and flaggers in the area while the outside lanes are cleaned.

The city thanks the public for their patience and their understanding while this work is completed.
