Hospital roadwork begins July 5

BA Blacktop (Cranbrook) will be commencing asphalt removal on Wednesday, July 5 at 7 a.m. on 24th Avenue from 2nd St North to 2nd Street South, the access road to East Kootenay Regional Hospital.
Roadway construction will continue afterwards starting on Monday, July 10 until the asphalt paving is completed.
We ask that all vehicles are removed from the roadway before 7 a.m. and remain off until the asphalt paving is completed. Any vehicles that are left on the roadway may be towed at the owner’s expense.
No parking on the street during this time please. Lawn watering should be limited as excessive moisture results in soft spots along the roadway.
Traffic control personnel will be onsite at all times during the repaving along 24th Avenue. The city asks that traffic obey all signage and traffic control personnel to maintain public and workers safety. Due to the proximity to the hospital, access for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times and take priority over other vehicles. For personal vehicles traveling with urgent emergent patients please “honk your vehicles horn” continuously to notify traffic control personnel of your emergency.
