Hundreds of zombies swarm downtown
About 300 zombies swarmed their way down Baker Street to Baker Park Saturday, Oct. 5 in the second annual Zombie Walk Cranbrook.
All ages and form of zombie, some in full Strasberg, some with smiles and some with dogs and creepy children paraded down Cranbrook’s downtown main street, capturing more than a few passersby by surprise.
One man speaking into a cell phone exclaimed, “There has to be 500 of ‘em! Right down here on Baker Street!”
The well-behaved and expertly herded mob of the undead moaned and stumbled to Baker Park where a feast awaited on a lovely early October Saturday afternoon.
The event once again raised food for the Cranbrook Food Bank.
Cranbrook resident Cole Green was awarded the prize for best zombie once again, winning a Les Paul electric guitar.
