Intersection closed for roadbed work Monday
Construction work on the gravel road structure of the intersection of 7th Avenue South and 2nd Street South, will close the area to all traffic on Monday September 25 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Mackay Contracting is conducting the work in preparation of the final paving of 2nd Street South, which is expected to be done over the next couple of weeks.
Drivers are asked to obey all signage and will need to find an alternate route around the intersection on Monday.
With the intersection closure, riders on BC Transit Route #7 will be impacted slightly, with buses travelling between 7th Avenue South and 11th Avenue South along 4th Street South during Monday’s closure.
The City of Cranbrook apologizes for any inconvenience this temporary closure may cause.
