The City of Cranbrook’s water main flushing operations are scheduled to move Thursday afternoon to the neighbourhood from 12th Street South to 13A Street South, between 14th Avenue South and 22nd Avenue South.

Water utility customers can expect to experience some water discolouration periodically as this work is carried out. Most customers may experience discolouration in the water for a short period while this flushing work is done. If you do have discolouration, please run your cold water tap until the water runs clear. This discolouration is not a public health concern.

The annual flushing program is done each year to ensure water mains are clear of sediment in order to provide the best water quality possible to your home and business.

The city will continue to provide updates regularly, so you know where the flushing program is moving to next.
