Local hired as chamber Executive Director

The Board of Directors of the Cranbrook Chamber of Commerce are pleased to announce the appointment of Helen Barron as Executive Director.

“We are very excited to be able to promote Helen to the position of Executive Director,” said Chamber President Jason Fast. “Helen has been with the chamber for the past 10 months and she has shown that she is very adept at listening to and attending to our members’ needs.”

Barron brings 16 years’ experience working in sales, marketing, communications, process management and not-for-profit management to her role as Executive Director.

In May of 2019, Helen began her career with the Cranbrook Chamber of Commerce as Membership Coordinator and has worked diligently since then to get to know the chamber’s membership and the broader business community. Through the work done in her membership role, she has developed key partnerships that will add value to the chamber’s membership while also creating opportunities for the Cranbrook Chamber to further support a healthy and thriving business climate in the community.

Barron is a community-minded individual with a strong passion for non-profit work and she shows her dedication to the well-being of the community through her frequent volunteerism.

Helen is excited to hit the ground running in her new role with a strong team already in place.  She is excited to be leading an organization that places a high value on collaboration, sustainability, diversity, and growth.
