A look at Sam Steele Parade 2017

Cranbrook’s biggest community party of the year was held in a different (more consolidated) location this year, creating a carnival atmosphere and making one wonder how it ever fit in Rotary Park.

And the parade was backwards!

But it was still extremely photogenic and well-attended, with thousands of people once again lining the streets of downtown Cranbrook for the largest parade this side of the Rockies. Guest floats came from around the region, the Okanagan, Central Kootenay, Coeur d’Alene, Idaho and, in keeping with tradition – Whitefish, Montana.

Stay tuned this upcoming weekend for more images from this year’s Sam Steele Days.
