Baker Street and downtown Cranbrook were once again lined with several thousand eager onlookers during the 2017 JCI Kootenay Santa Claus Parade.

It was a nice late fall evening for a parade, held on Saturday instead of Friday for the first time.

The change in day might have resulted in a larger crowd, especially evident in the Cranbrook Winter Farmers’ Market that offered an enormous variety of goods and food and bolstered the festive feel of the day.
