Miracle Day helps Big Brothers Big Sisters

CIBC Wood Gundy recently donated $,3083 to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cranbrook.

This donation was made possible through the proceeds from CIBC Miracle Day. CIBC Miracle Day has been helping kids reach their potential for more than 30 years. On the first Wednesday of every December, our CIBC Capital Markets team and CIBC Wood Gundy Investment Advisors give back to our communities by donating their fees and commissions to charities that help kids rise above.

Since 1984, Miracle Day has raised over $90 million in Canada and $241 million globally. In 2016, the CIBC Children’s Foundation donated $4.9 million to more than 500 charities across Canada.

As Canada’s leading child and youth mentoring charity, Big Brothers Big Sisters facilitates life-changing relationships that inspire and empower children and youth to reach their potential, both as individuals and citizens.  Professionally trained staff screen and monitor volunteers and families to match Bigs and Littles in safe positive long-term mentoring relationships, while providing necessary ongoing management and support to the match at NO charge.

Big Brothers Big Sisters offers a wide range of mentoring opportunities to meet the varied needs of volunteers, children and families.

The funds donated from CIBC Wood Gundy will go towards finding a mentor for every child who needs a mentor in the Community and School based programs.
