Mountain City Travel hosting MRI fundraiser

For the second year in a row Mountain City Travel will be hosting a night of inspirational and educational talks about the benefits of travel.

This year’s event (Oceans, Rivers and Mountains) will raise funds to support the MRI: An Image of Health Campaign to bring a new permanent MRI to the East Kootenay Regional Hospital.

“Dining out, sleeping over, shopping, purchasing permits, and hiring guides contributes to the livelihoods of families. Spending dollars supports cultures and keeps traditions alive. Travel is one of the planet’s sustainable commodities. We look forward to sharing the benefits of travel with the community and help our own community improve the level of healthcare available by supporting the MRI: An Image of Health Campaign,” said Diane Manson, event host.

Ticket price includes light refreshments and participation in exciting giveaways, including a chance to win $250 towards your next G Adventure.

“Our last event in collaboration with Mountain City Travel helped us to purchase a new Fetal Heart Monitor for the hospital. This year, we are greatly looking forward to an inspirational night that will benefit our MRI: An Image of Health Campaign to bring a permanent MRI to our region,” said Cassandra Schwarz, Executive Director of East Kootenay Foundation for Health.

Oceans, Rivers and Mountains runs from 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 5 at Key City Theatre in Cranbrook.

Tickets, only $12 apiece, can be purchased at the Key City Theatre or EKFH office.
