New youth ambassadors crowned

This year’s Sam Steele Days Youth Ambassador candidates Jaydlyn Chung, Danielle Lazar, Sheila Martine, Faith McWhirter, Hannah Meester, Mya Robison and Sharron Szogi thrilled a packed Key City Theatre audience Friday, June 14.

Showcasing smarts and talents the candidates gave the judges much to ponder before announcing Sheila Martine as Princess of Sam Steele and Faith McWhirter as Sweetheart of Sam Steele.

Just as outgoing youth ambassadors Brooke Wheeldon (Princess) and Isabella Fiorentino (Sweetheart) did this past year, with dedication, friendliness and aplomb, the new ambassadors will represent Cranbrook at festivals and community events at home and across B.C., Alberta and Montana.

Congratulations to new ambassadors and many thanks to Brooke and Isabella for being such great representatives of our city!
