Ordinary Love next in Sunrise Rotary Club Series
Hot after showing the 2020 Academy of Awards best picture winner, ‘Parasite’ at the Key City Theatre late last year, the Cranbrook Sunrise Rotary Club has another cinematic blockbuster coming up soon.
Next on the list is ‘Ordinary Love’ with Liam Neeson and Lesley Marville, a heartrending drama that garnered a 95% rating from Rotten Tomatoes and takes to the screen 7 p.m. March 12.
It’s a perfect marriage and a fulfilling life for a couple deeply in love until Joan is afflicted with breast cancer and the two together find out what adversity and tragedy really means in a relationship that continues to endure The film rises above the maudlin but nevertheless it may not hurt to bring a few extra tissues.
Like all Sunrise Film presentations, the show begins at 7 p.m. with the doors opening around 6:15 p.m. with a cash bar.
Also keep in mind that the youth of Cranbrook benefit from the film series through Rotary scholarships and bursaries and such programs as the Youth Exchange Program, Youth Ambassador Program, and RYLA, the Rotary Youth Leadership Award.
